What will your typical day look like?
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Develop audit plans, prep planning memos and budgets, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
- Plan, execute, and oversee internal and external IT audits, delivering insightful analyses on internal controls and performance.
- Support advisory projects, including internal controls readiness for Canadian and U.S.-listed companies.
- Manage SOC audits and prepare related reports for clients.
- Lead IT security projects involving risk assessments and compliance.
- Review audit workpapers for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with audit and assurance teams on client issues, sharing insights and fostering open communication.
- Prepare and present clear communications and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to support practice growth.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in IT audit or assurance.
- University degree in computer science, business, accounting, or related field.
- Professional designation preferred (CISA, CISSP, CPA, CIA) or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong IT background and hands‑on experience testing General IT Controls (logical access, change management, IT operations, and system development controls).
- Experience reviewing and assessing SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports and evaluating control test results.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems (Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, SailPoint, SAP, Oracle) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, Okta) is an asset.
- Experience in financial institutions, manufacturing, or government sectors is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
Total Rewards
Salary range: $74,000 – $156,000. Eligible for Deloitte’s variable pay program and other benefits such as paid vacation, mental‑health support, flexible benefit spending account, and hybrid work structure.
