The Manage, Estates, Benefits & HR Compliance will manage and supervise two teams in their operational delivery functions while driving performance results to meet our KPI’s targets, deliver Service Excellence and resolve complex customers issues promptly and effectively. The selected individual will be required to build and nurture strong collaborative relationships with internal and external clients, while upholding strict professionalism and compliance due to the nature of the scope. The Manage, Estates, Benefits & HR Compliance will also support project lead & delivery functions for operational tasks related to process improvements, innovations, system upgrades or new programs/policies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Benefits Administration functions for employees outside of the Manulife scope.
  • Manager the Estates functions effectively and with compassion.
  • Manage the HR Compliance functions (third-party verifications, employee files, mail processing, etc.) and ensure adherence to the strict policies and procedures related to this scope.
  • Motivate our specialists to ensure they are providing the best customer service with care and class and aligned with our service excellence standards.
  • Manage and develop the team of specialists by providing support, guidance, and coaching.
  • Monitor and drive individual and team performance against our set of key performance indicators.
  • Analyze transactions, tickets and delivery metrics and ensure we meet goals and provide reliable, efficient support for customers.
  • Maintain strong relationship with our internal and external customer groups and establish escalation processes.
  • Communicate with the shared services to communicate continuous improvement opportunities and training needs.
  • Manage the implementation of new processes and procedures by documenting and sharing the information with the team.
  • Responsible for ensuring a good communication between the various COE teams.
  • Manage regular meetings and refreshers to ensure clear and accurate information is being shared with the team.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Human Resources and/or a minimum of (3) years of experience in a HR environment.
  • Strategic thinking and creative solutioning are key success factors.
  • Able to manage effectively multiple conflicting priorities and handle stressful situation positively.
  • Result oriented based on business needs and performance targets.
  • Previous work experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Strong Leadership Skills with strong Organizational & Planning Skills.
  • Knowledge of Privacy Laws, Pensions and internal policies required.
  • Excellent Computer Skills and knowledge – Novell, Microsoft Office, People Soft, ADP, Ben Admin, ETS-X, Service Now an asset.
  • Project management and process improvement experience, an asset.
