Here you will manage and develop Electrical/Electronics Engineers to ensure that the business has the adequate skills, processes, and headcount to deliver its strategic objectives.
The Manager Electrical Engineering is responsible for managing the Electrical/Electronics Engineering function for our Ultra Maritime Canada business, and to ensure that the Engineering Function has the capability and capacity to meet the current and future demand of the business.
The Electrical/Electronics Engineering Function is also responsible for ‘How’ Electrical/Electronics Engineering is performed. He /She is accountable for resource management, technical excellence, functional quality, and capability development. In close collaboration with Project Managers, Chief Engineers, Design Assurance, and R&D, the manager ensures on‑time delivery of high‑quality engineering deliverables, drives digitalisation, supports innovation, and addresses critical issues impacting system performance or business continuity.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.
Leadership and management of the Electrical/Electronics Engineers at Ultra Maritime Canada. Transverse relationship with personnel based in other Ultra Maritime Line of Business in the US and UK to ensure synergy of functional processes.
Analog and digital design.
Experience with DSP applications.
PCB layout and proficiency in ECAD tools.
FPGA design using VHDL.
Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 9+ years of experience within a relevant complex engineering environment and 1+ years leadership experience. May be required to maintain security clearance.
