Job Description

The general accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Key accountable is to manage change initiatives through the change and delivery life cycle, in alignment with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines, procedures. Also in alignment with the required 1B activities for intake and engagement, risk assessment, change monitoring, reporting and post‑implementation review, and the detailed requirements of the business change review program.
  • Manage the oversight of diverse risk and control activities for FCRM in alignment with policies / processes and/or initiatives to meet strategy, and governance objectives.
  • Preparation of presentations, support reporting activities and lead meetings.
  • Manage the FCRM 1B program areas assigned, to align and comply with the 1B Standards.
  • Support the evolving of the FCRM Risk Culture.
  • Manage issues and remediation timelines, and identify, escalate and report on issues, as applicable.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with control partners and key stakeholders, responding to control partner requests in a timely and accurate manner, while supporting the businesses in their initiatives.
  • Develop and implement processes, procedures and reporting for the oversight of risk areas of the 1B governance program (example Change and Delivery Risk) and look for opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support change initiatives that impact the 1B program (example updates to AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC program).
  • Represent FCRM 1B in working groups and other committees or programs.
  • Support TD's enterprise‑wide risk strategies and control function requirements.
  • Any other governance, risk and controls responsibilities assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Strong experience and knowledge in TD's change and delivery risk program.
  • Strong risk, controls, and governance experience.
  • Proven background in risk management, particularly in understanding the development and implementation of risk initiatives, and providing oversight (Example: Operational Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management (including vendor management), Model and Non‑Model Risk Management, Change Management, Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, etc.).
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to act as a catalyst for change.
  • Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with all levels, including senior management.
  • Skillful communication (written and verbal), negotiation and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input but remain objective to reach the right outcome - ability to stay resilient under pressure.
  • Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quo.
  • Comfortable navigating a space that is not well defined, ambiguous, and complex at times.
Qualifications/Skills
  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree, professional accreditation, and/or 7+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in financial services industry, risk management, governance, compliance, change risk, or similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reporting to executive audiences.
  • Effective stakeholder and partner engagement with a professional approach; ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving team environment and prioritize competing priorities.
