Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited school.
  • Current and valid Florida State License (CRT).
  • Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry and Mammography (M) registry.
  • Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association (CPR).

Responsibilities

  • Verify that the prescription matches the procedure and records reasons for the exam.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and ensure cooperation.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimal imaging.
  • Process and examine radiologic digital images for quality.
  • Ensure proper presentation of prior studies for assessment.
