Your Role: Boat Maintenance Technician

As a valued member of the Le Boat team, you will play a pivotal role in preparing our boat yard for the upcoming season. Your responsibilities will include receiving boats, winter preparations, spring commissioning, fall hauling, and stocking the marine shop.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintain our fleet to the highest standards for customer satisfaction and reliability.
  • Ensure boats are in impeccable condition for presentation.
  • Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules.
  • Gain hands-on experience in installing electrical and mechanical equipment, including small fiberglass repairs (training provided).
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Tech & Base Manager to efficiently prioritize tasks.
  • Be ready to travel to off-site locations for emergency repairs.
  • Participate in hauling / launching, commissioning, de-commissioning, and gas dock operations as required.
  • Work closely with the Head Technician to be responsible for mechanical maintenance and repairs on 36 and 45ft fiberglass boats, handling technical interventions on pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical, propane, and hydraulic connections.
  • Duty Call out Technician is by rota and could be required to cover the region.
What We Are Looking For

Skills, Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Training

  • Technical studies or hands-on experience related to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, water pumps, or general maintenance.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good communication skills to work with the Maintenance team and provide support to customers.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hesse.
  • Fluency in English or French.
  • Full eligibility to work in France.

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in boat maintenance is highly advantageous.
  • A strong desire to learn and enhance technical skills.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and installation instructions would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of marine diesels and proficient systems is a plus.
  • Additional languages like Dutch, or German is a bonus.
  • Passion for boating and prior experience are welcomed.
Working hours
  • Summer season: Apr – Oct; off days Tue or Thu plus Sunday with flexibility to work during weekends when required.
  • We are flexible! We can offer full time / part time, seasonal contract or permanent employment.
  • Winter season: Nov – Mar; operating Mon – Fri.
