Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing preventative building maintenance for the assigned apartment buildings while providing excellent customer service to tenants.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform necessary maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting) in occupied units. Complete and submit accurate maintenance logs and timesheets.
  2. Clean and repair items in vacant or turnover units, including repairs like leaky taps, faucet changes, and door lock replacements.
  3. Regularly clean common areas, including stairwells, hallways, and elevators. Ensure all lighting, emergency signs, and fire extinguishers are functional. Maintain cleanliness in storage and boiler rooms, shovel and salt walkways, and manage garbage. Complete monthly inspections, painting, and repair tasks on time.
  4. Perform physically demanding tasks using ladders and power tools, applying knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
Qualifications:
  1. Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in HVAC equipment, BAS, and FAS in Class A residential complexes.
  2. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance may be required.
  3. Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, email/web).
  4. Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, push, pull, and navigate stairs.
