About Jewellery & Industrial Metals

What you will be doing

As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll:



  • Perform preventative and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safety.

  • Build and modify equipment to support new product lines and evolving production needs.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

  • Lead building and system upgrades to improve facility performance.

  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for predictive maintenance activities.

  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulations.

  • Operate machinery such as forklifts, lathes, and saws.

  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and reorder as needed.

  • Train production staff on routine maintenance procedures.

  • Document maintenance activities and analyze trends to improve reliability.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized, following all health, safety, and environmental protocols.

  • Take on additional duties as needed to support the team.


Who we are looking for

We’re seeking a skilled technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background. Ideal candidates will have:



  • Millwright certification (highly preferred) or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance.

  • Manufacturing experience, especially in ISO/OHSAS environments.

  • Leadership experience in a lead hand or supervisory role.

  • Multiple technical certifications (hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, etc.).

  • Fork truck/scissor lift operator license (an asset).

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Power transmission systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, magnetic, mechanical)

    • Welding (ARC, MIG, TIG, plastic)

    • Machine shop equipment, plumbing, pipefitting, ducting

    • Metal and plastic fabrication

    • Advanced electrical systems, PLC setup/programming

    • AutoCAD and schematic reading



  • Basic knowledge of engineering, chemical processes, and precious metals handling.
