A leading snack food manufacturer in Calgary is seeking a Maintenance Electrician. This role involves repairing and testing electrical systems and requires PLC proficiency. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience and be ready for rotating shifts of 8 to 12 hours. The position offers a challenging work environment with exposure to electrical settings and requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Maintenance Electrician - Food Manufacturing. For over 60 years, Super-Pufft has been in the snack food business. Over the past two decades since the business was purchased by new ownership, Super-Pufft has grown from a small popcorn factory to having 3 state-of-the-art SQF certified facilities across Canada. The new owners brought their previous manufacturing experience and entrepreneurial nature to Super-Pufft. Just a few years after purchasing the company, new product lines were added to extend the range and volume of snack food offerings. The company has always been in tune with the dynamic of demand and capacity, and continues to innovate market winning products.
Shift: 8 to 12 hours rotational
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment with hazardous materials; greasy, slippery factory floors. Note: Initially the candidate will be hired through a third party with the scope of becoming permanent depending on performance and ability to take responsibilities and work with minimal supervision. The shift will rotate every month. If hired, you are required to be available and flexible to work 8 to 12 hours shifts, weekends, holidays as per business operation needs.
