Job Description

Summary of Primary Job Functions

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and shutting down the ISO production line, including automated pallet production equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Feed raw materials properly, operate machinery, resolve line stoppages, clear jams, ensure product quality, and prepare products for shipment.
  • Complete health and safety pre-start checklists.
  • Ensure produced products meet quality specifications.
  • Document quality checks regularly.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Record production data and downtime causes.
  • Operate a forklift safely.
  • Maintain 5S standards through housekeeping and cleaning.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work effectively within a manufacturing team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing is an asset.
  • Forklift Operator License is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn new processes.
  • Ability to take initiative and follow directions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Seeking long-term employment.

Hours of Work

  • Rotating two-week schedule:
  • Week 1 & 2 – Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Week 3 & 4 – Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Regular long weekends with a 40-hour workweek.
