Position Details

Grade / Division: Intermediate Geography / Intermediate Religion

FTE / Sections: 1.00 FTE

Schedule: CGC1W/HRE1O1/HRE2O As per collective agreement.

Qualifications

As per the Education Act and Regulations, unless otherwise specified.

  • Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Multi-Session Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
Appointment of Occasional Teachers in Long Term Assignments

This assignment shall be filled in accordance with Part A, Article 17.3 of the current OECTA Secondary Collective Agreement, wherein priority placement will be given to unplaced, qualified redundant teacher applicants from the Secondary Teacher bargaining in order of seniority. In the event the assignment remains unfilled, qualified applications from the Occasional Roster will be considered.

Term of Assignment
  • On a date determined to meet a Board staffing requirement
  • The last teaching day before the return date of the absent teacher
  • By no later than the last teaching day of the current school year

This assignment may end sooner than the posted end date.
