Union / CBA Status: This is a unionized position covered by the current North Bay Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Where any conflict exists between this job description and the CBA, the terms of the CBA shall prevail.

Working Hours: Rotating shifts including Days, Afternoons and Midnights 24/7, 8 and 12 hours rotation

Overview

The Logistics Operator is responsible for safely handling, transporting, and organizing materials, parts, and finished goods within the production facility. This position ensures that products flow efficiently through the manufacturing process, meeting production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods in and out of production areas.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against packing slips and documentation.
  • Stage materials for production based on schedules and line requirements.
  • Organize, store, and maintain inventory in designated locations.
  • Complete accurate shipping documentation and labeling for outbound product.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

  • Forklift Operation: Certified or experienced with safe forklift operation.
  • Inventory Management: Familiarity with tracking, staging, and storing materials.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in verifying shipments and labeling goods.
  • Safety Conscious: Adheres strictly to safety standards and PPE requirements.
  • Organization: Keeps work areas and stock locations clean and orderly.
  • Communication: Coordinates effectively with internal teams.
  • Time Management: Prioritizes materials movement based on production needs.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Requires 1-2 years of related experience. Forklift certification or willingness to certify on site.
  • Languages: English Required

  • Work Environment: Shop Floor
  • Lifting Requirements: ability to lift up to 50lbs as required
