RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily shipping plan & dock schedule: Build, update, and publish pickup/delivery appointments; sequence outbound loads by customer promise date and corrugator/converting output.
- Carrier coordination & tracking: Confirm trucks (LTL/FTL), secure rates as needed, dispatch, and track status; communicate exceptions proactively.
- SAP / ERP transactions: Create pick lists, post goods issue, receive inbound materials, and keep master data clean; ensure speed/accuracy of data entry.
- Documentation accuracy: Prepare/review bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and invoices; fix shipping errors and maintain audit‑ready records.
- Inventory & staging: Coordinate pulls/staging, cycle counts for shipping lanes and reconcile discrepancies with warehouse and production.
- Customer communication: Provide ETAs, PODs, and status updates; elevate issues impacting service or cost.
- Compliance & safety: Follow DOT/transport rules; ensure safe load securement, dock safety, and proper handling of adhesives, inks & chemicals.
- Continuous improvement: Analyze lane performance, detention, and damage trends; recommend process and cost improvements.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & STRENGTHS
- Understanding of BOLs, manifests, COAs/SDS for materials.
- Team collaborator with production, maintenance, QA, and warehouse.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills to manage logistics issues in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong scheduling skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Attention to detail, accuracy with shipping documents and error resolution
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically corrugated or packaging.
- Continuous improvement experience is an asset.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ years of logistics scheduling planning and customer service required.
- Strong computer proficiency, including MS365, PowerBI and SAP is highly desirable.
