Logistics 3PL Senior Broker

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated 3PL Logistics Broker to join our team. If you’re a natural problem-solver with strong industry relationships and a talent for keeping freight moving efficiently, we want to hear from you.

As a Senior Logistics Broker, you’ll be responsible for coordinating shipments, building carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service. You’ll play a key role in supporting our growing logistics and supply operations across Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, secure, and manage freight with reliable carriers
• Negotiate competitive rates while maintaining service quality
• Track and trace shipments, resolving issues proactively
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams
• Grow and manage a personal carrier network
• Ensure timely documentation, billing accuracy, and compliance
• Identify opportunities to optimize cost, service, and route efficiency

Required Qualifications & Skills

As a member of the Sutco transportation team, we expect you bring the following to the table:

• 3+ years of 3PL brokerage experience
• Understanding of TL/LTL, flatbed, heavy haul, and/or Van freight
• Ability to negotiate rates and manage carrier relationships
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with TMS platforms and load boards (Loadlink, HubSpot)
• High attention to detail and organizational ability
• Self-motivated with strong ownership
• Existing carrier network in Canada/USA
• Existing customer network in Canada/USA
• Knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations
