Number of Hours Bi-Weekly: 60

Work Schedule: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends

What you’ll be doing:

Our LPNs provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings across Nova Scotia. Responsibilities include:

  • Diabetes management
  • Dialysis
  • Medication management
  • Palliative care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Wound care, including negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds
  • …and much more
What we need from you:
  • Must be Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
  • Experience in community health is an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check; Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Work conditions and physical demands:

This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing good body mechanics. The role involves walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
