  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) required within two years of hire.
  • Five years Ophthalmic office experience in lieu of education requirement.

Overview

As the Ophthalmic Assistant, you would work in support of the Physician and assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the office. You will be required to coordinate the care with other Penn Highlands services or outside health care providers. You will serve as a liaison between the physician, the mid-level provider and all other health care providers.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant OR completion of a Clinical Medical-Assistant program required. LPN preferred. Five years Ophthalmic office experience (in lieu of education requirement) required
