Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

Working within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse and consistent with the mission, vision and values and established protocols of Northern Health, the LPN works closely with the care team in direct care activities such as assessing. Planning, implementing, evaluating interventions, and coordinating health services for the Emergency Department patients. Participates in discharge and/or care planning, functions as a patient advocate, and teaches patients and their families about illness/injury and overall health promotion and wellness. Enhances quality of life from the perspective of the patient/family. Establishes, maintains, and enhances therapeutic relationships based on respect. Under a team-based model, provides care to patients across the lifespan, and their families, based on stable and/or predictable states of health by initiating and following established plans of care. Recognizes and responds to unexpected patient outcomes by communicating and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team. Documents care provided and response to incidents in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Emergency Department expectations. Consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers as needed.

Evenings, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
