We are currently seeking a Legal Support Clerk to join our team based in our Halifax, NS office.

Type of Position : Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

An integral member of our administration team, the firm’s Legal Support Clerks are responsible for file management and assisting our legal assistants with various lawyer specific tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and close various files; assist with file opening; perform physical filing and indexing
  • Scan files, pull duplicate documents, retrieve files from storage, and deliver files throughout the office
  • Save files in the online document management system; enter and review Lawyer time
  • Compile court filings, draft basic client correspondence, and book meeting rooms and vendors
  • Perform other tasks related to file management; may be required to move or lift heavy items on occasion
