A leading charity focused on water and sanitation in Calgary is seeking a Learning and Development Advisor to inspire and facilitate impactful training sessions. The ideal candidate will possess strong coaching skills, a background in instructional design, and proficiency in online tools. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office work Monday-Wednesday and offers opportunities for international travel and meaningful contributions to global WASH outcomes.
CAWST is a Canadian charity and licensed engineering firm. We address the global need for safe drinking water and sanitation by building local knowledge and skills on household solutions people can implement themselves. At the heart of everything we do is our belief that when people have their basic water and sanitation needs met, they have the opportunity to succeed. This is what drives our dedicated team to work with a global network of more than 1,500 clients and partners. Together, we have reached over 70 million people since our inception in 2001. Collectively, we are making a difference at a scale beyond what any of us could do individually. But our job isn’t done yet and we need you to help us expand our reach.
Location: Calgary, Alberta (In-office Mon–Wed; Remote optional Thu–Fri)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Travel: International, up to 30%
Please note: Recruitment activities for this role will be paused from December 9 to January 5, so you may not hear back on your application until January. However, we will still be accepting applications during this time. This role requires you to be based in Calgary, AB, with valid authorization to work in Canada (i.e. open work permit, PR, or citizenship).
Are you a facilitator who inspires and energizes participants? Do you believe learning should be participatory, practical, and fun? Do you love coaching others to grow their skills and confidence? If yes, you could be our next Learning and Development Advisor. At CAWST, we train and coach people around the world to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). We’re seeking someone who can design and lead creative, action-oriented workshops, inspire behaviour change, and mentor others to become great facilitators.
Work Environment:
CAWST values equitable opportunities, sustainable solutions, and collaborative and inclusive processes. CAWST recognizes and accepts differences in cultural, religious, and political processes and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
