The Role

RedMane has a full‑time opportunity for a Lead Developer as we continue to grow our Vancouver based practice. The Lead Developer is a hands‑on role responsible for architecture and driving the development of our low code, highly configurable SaaS product. This role works on a dynamic development team in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver a customized solution for our clients. Mentor team members in design, coding practices, and software development policies and guidelines.

Day to Day Activities
  • Envision innovative solutions for complex problems, leveraging advanced understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Lead technical design sessions, prototype work, and proofs-of-concept.
  • Hands‑on analysis, design, and development to enable further product scalability and interoperability.
  • Work with the project manager to remove obstacles, review design, and ensure releases meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Mentor team members in design, coding practices, and software development policies and guidelines.
  • Actively contribute to software development design and coding standards.
  • Verify all completed work follows best practices and engineering standards.
  • Support cross‑functional teams in testing, deploying, and implementing the product.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in software development as a full stack developer.
  • 2+ years of engineering leadership experience, preferably in a C#, .NET, and SQL Server environment.
  • 2+ years in enterprise‑level platforms for custom solution building, preferably in a cloud/Azure environment.
  • Experience in use of AI in software development.
  • Led teams of 5-10 developers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Highly self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to efficiently learn and apply new ideas concepts.
  • Ability to organize time, staff, and projects efficiently.
