Overview
We are currently hiring a Landscape and Snow Division Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong operational experience to oversee crews all year round.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Landscape Maintenance and Snow Division
- Able to oversee multiple landscaping crews at various locations
- Service company’s clientele with a customer first always attitude
- Flexibility required to accommodate daily and seasonal business needs
- Ability to motivate employees and provide a positive work environment
- Orientation and training of new personnel when required
- Experience withSnow Removal Operationsin a commercial setting
- Ability to handle the operation, scheduling and dispatching of employees and company equipment during all four seasons
- Ability to identify training opportunities and areas of improvement among the team
- Ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures
- Respond to customer enquiries, concerns and/or complaints making sure they receive exceptional service and resolution in a timely fashion
- Actively pursuing the acquisition of new clients
- Develop strong customer relationships with new and existing clients through regular communication
- Create new contracts and track existing customer contract renewals to ensure retention
- Ability to provide landscape maintenance and snow removal estimates
- Attend regular meetings with property managers and board members as required
- Always working in an ethical manner
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Supervisor in a Commercial Landscape Maintenance/Snow Removal position
- Knowledge and experience with commercial snow removal operations and lawn maintenance
- Horticulture education and experience
- Ensure that vehicles and equipment are maintained and serviced
- Ability to be diplomatic and skilled with negotiations to handle various situations
- Proven ability to professionally and confidently manage staff
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple sites as needed
- G License and clean drivers abstract required
- Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy required
- Strong work ethic – reliable and punctual
- Able to assume responsibility and have a flexible team-player attitude
- Previous experience operating maintenance equipment
