Your missions :

The Laboratory Technician will support the diagnostics and production lab processes and provide assistance to other Laboratory Technicians. Carry out manufacturing and/or packaging operations in accordance with appropriate procedures, in compliance with HSE standards and productivity targets, quality (GMP, hygiene). Propose ideas to improve productivity and own environment (workstations organization, quality and safety).

Managing Production (Day to Week)
  • Suggest set‑up of the team's work in daily Tier 1 based on the given production schedule.
  • Execute production planning, reporting quality standards.
  • Inform & elevate in case of issue or in case can't solve / deviation.
  • Monitor & improve his activity on a continuous basis.
  • Close & control work orders.
  • Assist in bottling, labelling, packaging, and storing blended product according to specifications.
  • Prepare agar, reagents, components, chemicals and broth media as required.
  • Maintain an inventory of basic stocks of prepared media and components to ensure constant supply.
  • Maintain constant supply of sterile supplies as required by production and diagnostic departments.
  • Report on inventory of media, components, reagents, chemicals, supplies, and equipment for replacement.
  • Decontaminate and wash glassware and equipment using appropriate procedures.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of specific lab equipment according to procedure.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and organized state.
Budget & Cost Control
  • Respect operating time yield standards.
  • Analyse some variances and propose implementation of action plans.
Compliance and Safeguard
  • Follow standard operation procedures (SOP’s).
  • Set‑up/write SOP's.
  • Apply all standards (environment, quality, safety/ HSE, aseptic, cost).
  • Perform In‑Process Controls (IPC).
  • Maintain records of all lab functions.
  • Ensure all raw materials meet criteria for use, i.e. material of animal origin documentation.
  • Complete and check batch reports.
  • Raise alert in case of dangerous situations, near miss/miss, QA deviation etc.
  • Run internal audits.
Operational Excellence: Continuous Improvement
  • On the assigned workstations, ensure that CPS standards are applied.
  • Update & monitor performance indicators on his/her line/zone, analyze gaps, propose and perform resolution actions.
  • Propose and implement ideas for improvement (short/medium term).
  • Carry out process confirmation as provided by the corresponding planning function.
  • Guarantee compliance with performance and workshop storage standards in the assigned workshops; raise alert if needed.
Your profile :
  • A minimum of a High School diploma.
  • Ideally, a graduate of a certified lab assistant’s course or 2 years working experience in a laboratory.
  • Ideally, has previous lab experience.
  • Skilled in maintaining equipment and recognizing when repairs are needed.
  • Ideally, has Aseptic training, techniques, and knowledge of sterility principles.
  • Computer literate with experience in MS Office.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • A team player.
  • Has demonstrated verbal and written English communication skills.
  • You have a mechanical aptitude.
  • You have effective organizational and time management skills.
