JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently hiring both part-time and full-time Kitchen staff for our Flaming Kitchen Downtown location, by College Station.
DUTIES
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards for quality control.
- Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation for daily service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
SKILLS
- Proficient in food handling techniques and knowledge of food safety standards.
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of meal preparation processes and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Languages: Fluency in both English and Mandarin are preferred for this position.
- Valid SIN: A valid SIN number is required to file taxes.
- Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to the work location at 472 Yonge Street.
