Job description

The Granite Club is seeking a Karate Instructor responsible for leading structured karate classes for children, focusing on fundamental techniques, discipline, respect, and self-defense skills. The instructor will ensure a safe and positive training environment, organize belt assessments and exhibitions, and adapt teaching methods to various age groups and skill levels.

In addition to karate instruction, the role involves providing creative and engaging programs for children in the Kidzone, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, and establishing positive relationships with parents. The instructor will also handle administrative tasks such as attendance records and reporting safety concerns.

**Qualifications:**

  • Minimum grade 12
  • Over two years of martial arts teaching experience
  • Experience with school-aged children is an asset
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
