Junior Project Manager

Our Client

We are working with our Civil General Contractor client to assist in mobilizing a large project near Kamloops/Southern Interior BC. We require a Junior Project Manager, experienced and knowledgeable in civil construction to join our client on this exciting project for a minimum of 6 months contract role.

Requirements

  • College or technical school degree in engineering, construction management, or EIT preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with a contractor company is preferred.
  • Supports senior managers by overseeing project tasks, timelines, budgets, and communication with vendors and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to safety protocols
  • Assist in developing project plans, coordinating tasks, managing work schedules, and allocating resources.
  • Track project spending, monitor project timelines, and report on progress, often preparing weekly or monthly status reports.
  • Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed on-site, and conduct inspections to monitor project progress and quality.
  • Maintain project records, manage necessary documentation, and ensure that all required safety inspections are completed.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, track their performance, and coordinate their activities.
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, industry related softwares
  • Ability to work on-site for scheduled rotation, immediate availability is preferred.
