Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time until February 26, 2027 (1 year contract)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the process transformation and/or the delivery of effective software application solutions which meet the needs of the healthcare customers they support. This role supports the business analyst and/or clinical informatics staff in the investigation and recommendation for new initiatives and is the primary TransForm resource responsible for the planning, capturing of current processes, designing new processes, procurement, implementation and support of assigned software applications and/or process transformation projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Assist with deployment, onboarding support and sustained adoption of digital health programs
  • Coordination of committee meetings, development of agenda, taking of minutes, maintenance of committee membership, and dissemination of materials
  • Documentation of work assignments, process mapping and redesign, application configuration and data standards development, and issues investigation/escalation
  • Supports the investigation and recommendation of regional solution proposals (including development of business cases, RFPs) for assigned areas of responsibility (customers, subject areas)
  • Supports the delivery of process transformation activities and/or application solution implementation activities including managing project resources and work activities for assigned work-streams in accordance with regional project management methodologies
  • Supports ongoing investigation of new relevant process transformation solutions through participation in industry healthcare groups, establishing peer hospital professional practice networks and strong vendor relationships; gathers information related to practice (workflow, data, reporting requirements) and supports continuous improvement activities
  • Works in collaboration with business owners to define new processes and workflows, understand impacts to current positions and identify training/adoption issues
  • Supports relevant design work for integration, interfaces, report development, and data conversions. Ensures robust test plans are in place to validate changes and engage hospital management
  • Coordinates the engagement of appropriate teams to support the transformation
MUST-HAVES
  • Three (3) year College Diploma or University Degree in Information Technology, Health Sciences, or Business Administration
  • One to two (1-2) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Team player who works well in a fast-paced, time sensitive, customer-focused environment with a high level of energy and creativity
WE VALUE
  • Healthcare workflow/process transformation and/or IT-related experience an asset
  • Hospital operations and Oracle Health Information System experience an asset
OTHER CONDITIONS
  • Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: stress and pressure from multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area when required
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends when required
