Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the Junior Accounts Administrator is responsible for supporting the CFO, as well as the Finance, Procurement and the IT teams by performing administrative duties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented graduate to gain exposure to various aspects of financial management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Main Accountabilities

  • Perform administrative duties for the CFO such as coordinating and managing the schedule and arranging travel.
  • Provide support to the team by drafting and/or proofreading presentations or written materials required for correspondence with external parties, and assisting with preparing weekly/monthly reports.
  • Execute financial processes such as creating purchase order requisitions, coding, processing and track invoices, and processing expense reports.
  • Assist the AP function with long outstanding invoices not available to pay and solve
  • Assist with the gathering and presentation of information for areas such as Insurance, new leases, credit facility administration.
  • Liaise with bank on request from the Snr Director of Corporate Control for administration of the banking platforms.
  • Perform general office administrative duties as setting up and maintaining filing systems.

Main Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (graduated within the past 12 months)
  • SAP Experience - Banking and Accounts Payable modules
  • Mining experience an asset
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of financial software
  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbal, for conveying ideas, instructions, and information to colleagues, external parties, and superiors.
  • Digital Literacy skills: Knowledge of digital tools and technology. Proficient with standard office software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow to ensure all deadlines are met, and work under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Time Management/Organisation skills: Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure that work is completed effectively and deadlines are met.
  • Teamwork/Collaboration skills: Ability to actively participate in a team, encourage co-operation, and be aware of the needs of others. Ability to share information and support other team members, and prioritise team goals over individual goals.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters related to the daily activity of the Finance department and the Company.
