Job summary

Theatre Technician – Shell Theatre

Location: City of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Competition: #201408

Position: One Permanent Full-Time Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical operation and maintenance of audio, visual and lighting equipment in the Dow Centennial Centre theatres and other venues.
  • Oversee all technical requirements and deliver related professional services for all events within the DCC and other City facilities.
  • Accommodate requests made by performing artists and user groups with little advanced notice and find solutions to maintain safety and artistic integrity of the performance.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree from a technical theatre program or equivalent and minimum 1 to 3 years directly related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in carpentry, lighting, audio and video and proficiency in a variety of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Windows Media, Quick Time and AutoCAD drafting.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and organize workloads and must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation: Competitive package with a salary range of $63,291 to $74,460 per annum.
