Job Description
Assistant Front Office Manager
Providing engaging, sincere, personalized service is one of the ways our Front Office Colleagues are turning moments into memories at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Showcase your interpersonal strengths as an Assistant Front Office Manager; you will lead, train and recognize your team in support of exceptional guest service!

Your Job Duties Include:

  1. Providing day to day operational and managerial support for Front Desk, Concierge, Personalized concierge, Guest Services, Royal Service, Tours department, and ensure all service standards are followed.
  2. Ensuring proper staffing and scheduling of all Front Office colleagues in accordance to productivity guidelines.
  3. Communicating through pre-shift logs, emails and departmental meetings, all pertinent information for the respective shifts and areas of operation.
  4. Training, inspiring, developing, and recognizing Front Office colleagues.
  5. Assisting guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
  6. Ensuring service standards are met with respects to guest satisfaction in Voice of the Guest by ensuring that all guest issues/complaints receive prompt action and follow up.
  7. Ensuring all necessary crisis and emergency procedures are in place to meet hotel standards and that all agents are fully trained to handle emergency procedures.
  8. Driving GOP through meeting or exceeding upgrade, upsell goals.
  9. Completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:

  1. Previous 1 year leadership experience at a luxury setting required.
  2. Previous Customer Service Experience required.
  3. Previous Opera PMS experience required.
  4. Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  5. Must have a valid Full Canadian Driver’s License.
  6. Excellent knowledge of Front Office and Hotel procedures an asset.
  7. General knowledge of key departments, including Housekeeping and Maintenance an asset.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
