Job summary

A well-known ski resort in British Columbia is looking for a permanent IT Support Technician, Tier 2. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, organizing support requests, and managing hardware installations. Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited IT program.
  • Proven experience in Service Desk operations and user support.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage asset documentation and network installations.

Are you a technical wizard and enjoy troubleshooting problems? We are looking to recruit a permanent IT Support Technician, Tier 2. Do you enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing? Working in a stunning mountain resort, the successful candidate will be responsible for daily duties that include responding to internal requests for technical support, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work using issue tracking systems, onboarding/offboarding user administration, asset management and documentation, and hardware staging, installation, troubleshooting and repair. This role offers opportunities for career development within the Sun Peaks IT department, the IT field in general, and the ski industry overall. Compensation Information

$65,000 to $70,000 per annum

Physical Requirement

Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 25kg; both in an indoor & outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you
  • Completion of accredited IT program.
  • Experience in Service Desk operations and end user support.

  • Ability to ski or snowboard is considered an asset (not a requirement).
Primary Responsibilities
  • Organize, prioritize and schedule workload using in-house help desk systems.
  • Hardware/software installations.
  • Installation of various network, A/V, and surveillance components.
  • Installation and support of POS and payment systems.Asset management and documentation.
  • Assist with administration of server systems.
  • Lifting of equipment required at times (printers, furniture, servers, etc.).
  • Train new hires in the proper use of hardware and software.
