This role involves building Generative AI solutions and managing the development and production of various use cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with senior stakeholders, including VPs and above, and will be adept at guiding junior developers and resolving technical issues.

Typical Day in Role

1. Daily Standups and Scrums: Participate in daily meetings with technical resources to resolve blockers and address challenges.
2. Senior Leadership Meetings: Regularly meet with senior leadership to review developed user stories and production progress, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
3. User Story Management: Collaborate with the team to create user stories, plan the backlog, and prioritize tasks for planning.
4. Stakeholder Communication: Negotiate and communicate effectively with leaders to align on project goals and deliverables.
5. Budget Management: Oversee a program budget of $1-3 million, ensuring projects stay within the allocated budget.

Job Description

Summary:

The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle. Responsibilities include project design, scope management, cost control, and quality and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
2. Manage project resources, including procuring staff, coaching, and advising the team.
3. Partner with functional project teams to define business requirements.
4. Lead teams of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
5. Define test plans and ensure products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
6. Facilitate the UAT process, develop rollout plans and procedures.
7. Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses to key stakeholders.
8. Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are utilized.
9. Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
10. Promote Agile Principles: Champion the use of Agile principles and practices across the program, removing impediments to Agile adoption.
11. Ensure Consistency: Ensure teams consistently apply Agile methodologies and that there is alignment across teams.

Must-Have Requirements

1. 8+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
2. SAFe certified, with demonstrated experience leading large-scale agile programs.
3. Technical Leadership: Ability to guide junior developers and resolve technical issues.
4. Stakeholder Management: Proven experience working with senior-level stakeholders and managing high-visibility projects.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

1. Technical skills utilizing MS CoPilot, GitHub, Adobe Firefly.
2. Ability to understand and communicate with Actuaries and other stakeholders effectively.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field required.

Certifications

SAFe certification and other relevant Agile certifications are preferred.

The interview process includes a virtual interview with three individuals: Hiring Manager, Senior Product Owner of Gen AI, and the Chief Architect supporting the Gen AI program.
