About the job Intermediate Electrical Designer

Our client based in Calgary is looking to hire one more electrical designer to complete the team. We are looking for someone that has 3-4 years experience with Revit & AutoCAD within the buildings division sector (Commercial, mixed-use, car dealership, institutional projects background). We do not work on oil and gas projects however, there may be some opportunities for some lighter industrial work.

Salary expectation depends on experience but 80-90k possibly a little more for the right candidate. This is an in office position. The company offers lots of training and perks. Lots of room for growth and improvement to excel in your career.

Responsibilities
  • Set up drawings in both Revit and AutoCAD
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff
  • Prepare layouts, conceptual designs and calculations
  • Assist in a variety of project support activities including project coordination, strategic planning, client support, and business analysis supporting the business development and project management departments
  • Support documentation process for projects including technical specifications, tender documents, technical reports and project calculations
  • Interface with other design disciplines, coordinate with related stakeholders, and assist team leads and managers
  • Update drawings from engineers mark ups and red lines
  • Create drawing layouts, details, and elevations
  • Interpret and understand basic design for architectural, electrical, and mechanical
  • Participate in the updating of our Company Revit and AutoCAD Standards
  • Quality Control
  • Participate in the management and updating of our Manual
  • Other duties as assigned
