What you bring to the table
Intermediate Architectural Technologist / Interior Designer
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in an architectural firm preferably retail, commercial and food services preparing and coordinating construction drawings and documents
  • Graduate of an Architectural program or Architectural Technology program at a recognized post-secondary school
  • Knowledge of construction methodology, building assemblies, building science, materials application and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and coordinate work of consultant disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
  • Knowledge of the Ontario / National Building Code
  • Knowledge in Zoning bylaws research and application
  • Experience in site planning and layout design
  • Understanding of the municipal approval process for both planning and building
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and with accuracy as part of both a collaborative team and individually
Duties & responsibilities
  • Preparation of a full set of architectural working drawings
  • Coordination of arch dwgs with consultants including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
  • Preparing site plans and building working drawings and communicate with the municipal planning/building department for application process and address comments
  • Review shop drawings
  • Taking on a multiple projects at the same time, and being able to meet deadline effectively
