Job description

Join to apply for the Insulation Installer role at Installed Building Products.

As an insulation installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation of fiberglass or rock wool batts in exterior walls and ceilings. Your work environment will vary from project to project, but you will follow a consistent process to ensure high-quality results and safety standards are maintained throughout each installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and logging materials onto a truck
• Erecting scaffolding or ladders to the required height
• Cutting insulation materials to size and installing them in frames, ceilings, attics, or crawlspaces
• Installing insulation materials by stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing, or operating equipment that injects loose-fill or foamed insulation
• Driving a company vehicle if required, following all driving rules and DOT requirements, and maintaining tools/truck
• Observing job site safety rules and knowing the location of MSDS packets in your vehicle

Role Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Installation experience is a plus
• Comfortable using standard hand tools
• Able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawlspaces
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Able to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Able to bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, and knees
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Compensation

Hourly range: $18.00–$23.00, based on experience.

Physical Demands

Includes lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, crawling, and reaching overhead. Manual dexterity is required for using hand and power tools. The role involves working in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, while adhering to safety standards.
