Job summary

A leading EPCM firm is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support various projects in Calgary. The successful candidate will develop design packages, manage project integration, and ensure compliance with industry standards within the oil and gas sector. This role requires strong communication skills and a degree in engineering, with preference for Professional Engineer designation. Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
  • Experience with control systems in oil and gas or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards like ISA, API, CSA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design packages for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Conduct site visits for installation and commissioning support.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with teams for instrumentation integration.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret P&IDs
Experience in sweet and sour gas projects
Canadian exposure to heavy oil facility design
Experience with greenfield and brownfield design
Familiarity with industry specifications and codes

Education

Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering
Competence in control system design software like AutoCAD
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred
