Course Details

Title of Course

VISA 2P94 Drawing: Ideas and Imagination

Idea development, integration of media and conceptual approaches. Lectures, studio work, 4 hours per week.

Schedule: Winter Term (D3) Wednesday 0900-1300

Delivery Method: face-to-face

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2024 - $7,471.08 per half course (195 hours nominally)

Effective September 1, 2024 - $14,942.17 per full course (390 hours nominally)

Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. MFA is required.
2. Previous experience of at least two years teaching at the university level is required.
3. Demonstrated background in teaching drawing materials and techniques with an emphasis on compositional structures, idea development, integration of media and conceptual approaches is required.
4. Record of professional activity and exhibitions with a focus on Drawing demonstrative of standing in the arts community is required.
5. Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level in the area to be taught is required by providing copies of recent teaching course/performance evaluations.
