A community service organization in Canada seeks an Instructor Therapist to provide intensive behavioral intervention for children and youth with autism. Responsibilities include delivering ABA programming, conducting assessments, and liaising with families. HeadHunting Inc works with many community services and is looking for an Instructor Therapist / Behavioral Therapist around Toronto, Markham, Oshawa, Barrie and Durham area.
As an Instructor Therapist you are responsible for intensive behavioural intervention, providing services for children and youth with autism. In this role, you work with children and youth in home, clinic, centre, and classroom-based settings, both one-on-one and in small groups. You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day. You will be required to work out of client sites from time to time based on operational needs. You may be assigned to work in different programs and services within the Autism division and your primary work location may be reassigned within a 50 KM radius based on operational needs.
Client Services
Conduct behaviour or curriculum assessments. Monitor and track progress by keeping detailed daily records and information on the child’s challenging behaviour, skill acquisition, and other aspects of the planned interventions.
Maintain the clinical binder for each client. This includes preparing datasheets, daily graphing, and adjusting programming based on the set revision and mastery criterion. Participate in agency initiatives to further enhance our supports and services.
