A Canadian educational institution is seeking a non-regular clinical instructor for its Health Care Assistant Program in British Columbia. The Health Care Assistant Program at Capilano University invites applications for one non-regular clinical instructor to teach in-person out of our Sechelt campus. The successful candidate may be offered further sections in the future. This is a unionized position that will begin on January 27, 2026.
The successful candidates will teach clinical courses within the Health Care Assistant Program which aims to equip students with personal care skills within the parameters of the health care assistant role. The instructors will guide a preceptorship practicum group of no more than 8 students and support them as they develop caregiver skills that maintain and promote the comfort, safety, and independence of individuals in care facilities and community contexts.
Courses will be taught in person at our Sechelt campus and at a partner organization in the community during the spring term.
