Position Details

This position will have specific responsibility for profitable revenue generation, leadership and direction to key utilities and infrastructure / major construction projects across Canada.

You Will:

  • Develop, manage & support sales targeting and engagement strategy for major utilities, infrastructure and major construction projects.
  • Develop specific plan for targeting new business opportunities including a detailed strategy to ensure engagement of Grainger sales resources to drive business growth.
  • Lead sales growth, relationship management with Regional Sales, National Accounts and Government teams.
  • Support all key strategic supplier relationships in support of supplier program development.
  • Own relationship management with key Government stakeholders and influencers.
  • Lead tendered contracts, standing offers and supply service agreements negotiation process.
  • Supports Grainger management team by preparing and assisting with presentations; sourcing new through Government funding, market leads and/or trends.
  • Takes an active role in developing a strong working relationship supporting functional departments within Grainger.
You Have
  • 5+ years sales experience to large complex/multi-site customer, with exposure to sales reporting, gross margin, inventory management functions Required
  • Experience selling to government and/or utility companies is an asset
  • Professional demeanour and ability to work with all levels externally, as well as internally
  • Strong project management, time-management, negotiating and presentation skills
  • Extremely organized, flexible, proactive and creative
  • PC skills competency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel program
  • Post secondary degree / courses in Business Administration / Commerce, or equivalent experience would be ideal
  • Possession of a valid license and a suitable vehicle Upon Hire Required
