Job description

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the elicitation of Human Machine Interface (HMI) requirements for multiple embedded systems, and validation of these requirements.
  • Coordinate design activities with system integrators and suppliers.
  • Interact on several programs and/or platforms simultaneously.
  • Develop alert schemes (logic, conditions, display).
  • Design and conduct development and certification tests (bench, simulator or aircraft).
  • Analyze test data and produce test and certification reports.
  • Interact with certification authorities.
  • Perform human error analyses.
  • Organize and collaborate in design reviews with other departments/specialists.
  • Review system simulations of human-machine interface models.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with training or coursework related to human factors.
  • At least 5 years of experience in flight deck, avionics systems development, integration.
  • Deep knowledge or relevant experience of flight operations (pilot, air traffic control, dispatch, training, test engineer, aircraft maintenance, simulation) and aviation regulation.
  • Strong interest and built knowledge of flight deck design, HMI, and associated standards (MIL STD, SAE ARP, ARINC, etc.).
  • Good technical writing and oral communication skills (English required, French an asset).
  • Team player, organized, motivated, able to work independently.
  • Ability to process large amounts of information to plan and execute complex test or experiment campaigns.
  • Capable of working under pressure and adjusting to evolving priorities.
  • Initiative, efficiency, strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
  • Polite interpersonal relationships and judgment.
