Overview

Our Client, a Agriculture Products company, is looking for an Infrastructure Analyst - Field Services for their Grimsby, ON location.

Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day operational support for a computing environment (computer center, unit computing, a community of users, etc.) to contribute to the smooth running of that environment. Procedures are generally well-established. Support activities require a basic technical background and are fairly administrative in nature.
  • Monitor and manage the mainframe job network; restart and make decisions from pre-defined options to resolve problems.
  • Document recording and distribution; maintain process logs and related records.
  • Typical responsibilities include logging statistics, reporting problems, updating data, maintaining documentation or procedures, and distributing reports.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and data supporting processes or operations; schedule routine equipment maintenance, monitor inventory, and interact with suppliers.
  • Perform/monitor processes or operations that are reasonably stable, often requiring choices between several options.
  • Provide onsite deskside support to the Grimsby location as needed, including imaging computers and resolving standard trouble tickets from ServiceNow queues.
  • Communicate effectively by email and maintain basic documentation and records; update assets in Asset Center and follow unit-specific processes.

Requirements
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and basic intranet/internet tools
  • Knowledge of computer security policies and general security concepts
  • Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals
  • Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience; high school diploma or equivalent
  • IT experience and/or business experience (Less than 1 year); 1 year or more IT experience preferred, but recent graduates will be considered
  • Python experience is preferred; willingness to learn
