You will work alongside experienced engineers, troubleshooting equipment and developing automated systems. Responsibilities
  • Work with experienced Electrical Engineers engaged in custom equipment design to support electronic and product level manufacturing tests.
  • Exposure to automation process and electromechanical product tests
  • Work with various test equipment architectures (VXI/PXI) and system design software (LabVIEW).
  • Interpret electrical schematics in order to troubleshoot legacy equipment
  • Develop custom electrical designs in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Design and program automated sequencing for test programs using LabVIEW.
  • Investigate instrumentation capabilities and cost comparisons.
  • Develop product test specifications, technical documentation and evaluate test coverage of products.
Qualifications

This job might be for you if you are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.

Candidates with prior experience in the following areas are an asset:

  • LabVIEW programming
  • Communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, CAN, Profibus, etc)
  • Schematic capture
  • Digital and analog hardware
  • Automation

The base pay compensation for this full-time position is starting at CAD21.00 per hour for candidates who are B.C. residents. Schneider Electric also offers our employees on fixed-term employment holidays and paid time off.
