Job summary

A manufacturing company in Vaughan is seeking a skilled millwright to join their maintenance team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing maintenance on various systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate must hold a valid millwright certificate and have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. This position is full-time, with shifts required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid industrial mechanic/millwright certificate.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of calipers and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to read prints.
  • Ability to work safely at heights is required.
  • Experience operating scissor lifts and Genie booms is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems as required.
  • Interpret all mechanical schematics.
  • Maintain conveyor system, all compressors and pumps.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems and valves.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Reading mechanical schematics
Computer skills using MS Office
Working safely at heights

Education
