Job summary

The Head and Face team plays a key role in protecting and enhancing the performance of hockey players. We design products that combine safety, comfort, and innovative design to meet the demands of athletes at all levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute directly to the design of CCM helmets and face protectors, iconic products that set the standard for safety and innovation in hockey.
  • Design and deliver complex 3D CAD models (Creo preferred; SolidWorks and Rhino are assets) for prototypes and tooling.
  • Manage rapid prototype creation and prepare technical documentation required for development and manufacturing.
  • Participate in generating and proposing new concepts that meet performance objectives and user research insights.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to integrate aesthetics, functionality, and performance into every project.
  • Produce technical 2D drawings and maintain CAD file classification to ensure project traceability.
  • Contribute to solving technical challenges related to industrialization, feasibility, and cost optimization in helmet manufacturing.
  • Provide occasional graphic design support (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) for presentations and renderings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in industrial design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in CAD modeling and product design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Creo preferred; SolidWorks and Rhino are assets).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, assembly systems, and rapid prototyping.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Experience in programming (e.g., Python, C++) or in automating processes related to CAD (asset).
  • Creativity, organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems in innovative ways.
  • Solid understanding of impact absorption and head protection requirements in hockey (asset).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong team spirit combined with the ability to work independently.
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
