Qualifications

  • Must have a BC Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial site driving.
  • Must present a clean driver's abstract.
  • Pass a clean drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport passengers following designated routes and schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain communication with passengers and dispatchers via radio.
  • Complete written reports on passengers, incidents, and accidents.
  • Uphold safety commitments during emergencies.

Job description

Transdev Canada is hiring an Industrial Coach Driver in Kamloops, BC.

As an Industrial Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, following designated routes and schedules. You will ensure passenger safety and comfort, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times. Adherence to safety regulations and company policies is essential in this role. This is a part-time position.

Your Role
  • Enjoy interacting with the public.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Drive various coach/buses or company non-revenue vehicles in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner within the assigned service area and schedule.
  • Perform timely fueling of the bus as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with passengers, dispatchers, or fellow drivers via two-way radio systems.
  • Report delays, mechanical issues, or accidents promptly.
  • Complete and submit written reports regarding passengers, incidents, and accidents.
  • Demonstrate vigilance in ensuring passenger safety during emergencies, including guiding evacuation procedures.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and clear communication.
  • Adhere to Transdev's standards, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.
