Responsibilities
  • Teach the first-year course in the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking (IDF) diploma program.
  • Share knowledge of contemporary Indigenous media production and the culture that supports Indigenous stories and storytellers.
  • Provide instruction focused on the director's relationship to the camera, actors, and crew on a dramatic film shoot, including casting, blocking, lighting, rehearsing, and shooting.
  • Incorporate guest speakers from the Indigenous media industry as part of the course.
Qualifications
  • Experience presenting this type of instruction in a two-year diploma or four-year bachelor’s degree learning environment, or equivalent.
  • Masters degree preferred; candidates with relevant background and experience will be considered.
  • Indigenous applicants will be given priority.
