Ashley Homestore is Hiring a In-Home Furniture Technician in Bedford, OH!

Starting Pay: $22.50

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8am until completion of route

Summary of Position: Ensures highest quality of product through inspection and repair in compliance with product handling and customer service standards in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  1. Inspect, evaluate, and repair of merchandise.
  2. Practice safe and secure material handling methods in accordance with product handling standards.
  3. Report errors found on documents to supervisor.
  4. Complete all documentation, including digital photos, neatly and accurately.
  5. Maintain accurate inventory of customer parts.
  6. Operate manual and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GERS system preferred.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mastery of wood, fabric and leather upholstery repair.
  • Certified in bedding inspection in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50 - 100+ lbs. repetitively.
  • Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
  • Ability to use hands to type information into computer.
Supervisor Responsibilities

This position does not supervise others.
