Summary

The Impact Specialist strengthens Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation’s ability to measure, understand, and communicate impact. This role designs and implements evaluation frameworks, analyzes data, and shares insights that guide organizational learning and strategic planning. By uncovering stories and measuring outcomes, the Specialist helps empower Indigenous youth in their journeys through education and meaningful employment.

Impact Specialist – Measure What Works and Empower Indigenous Youth

Are you passionate about measuring what works and why, and helping Indigenous youth thrive? Ulnooweg is looking for an Impact Specialist who will design evaluation frameworks, analyze data, and share powerful insights that guide organizational learning and strategic planning.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Design and implement culturally grounded impact measurement frameworks using quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, lessons learned, and promising practices
  • Communicate evaluation results clearly to staff, partners, funders, and community stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Learning Facilitator and internal teams to align evaluation strategies with organizational learning goals

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Post‑secondary degree in social sciences, evaluation, research, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in impact assessment, program evaluation, and monitoring
  • Experience designing and managing data collection systems and tools
Cultural and Contextual Knowledge
  • Awareness of Atlantic Canadian Indigenous communities and cultures
  • Understanding of historical and current realities impacting Indigenous youth
  • Familiarity with Indigenous organizational ecosystems supporting youth and community development
Research & Analytical Skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Experience designing and implementing data collection activities and analyzing findings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
Communication & Relationship Building
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Conditions of Employment
  • Remote work based in Atlantic Canada
  • Travel across Atlantic provinces required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
