Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.

Description

The Identity Governance Coordinator in this role will spearhead the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) framework. In this role, you will be the primary driver for role discovery, Segregation of Duties (Segregation of Duties) controls, and Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) automation. You will bridge the gap between technical identity platforms (Okta, ServiceNow, Active Directory) and business-unit requirements to ensure a secure, compliant, and efficient access lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • RBAC Strategy & Governance
    • Design & Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise RBAC strategy and governance model tailored to Segregation of Duties’ unique business units and applications.
    • Role Engineering: Lead data-driven role mining activities to define business roles, IT roles, and "birthright" access entitlements.
    • Compliance & Segregation of Duties: Establish Segregation of Duties (Segregation of Duties) policies and conflict matrices; design mitigating controls and formal exception workflows to meet audit standards.
  • Technical Integration & Automation
    • Lifecycle Automation: Lead the integration of IGA platforms with authoritative HRIS sources and target systems to automate JML processes.
    • Platform Leadership: Direct the configuration of Okta Identity Governance, Active Directory, and ServiceNow to support policy-driven governance.
  • Change Management & Enablement Stakeholder Engagement
    • Facilitate workshops with business and application owners to validate role models and ensure operational buy-in.
    • Documentation: Produce high-quality runbooks, RACI charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions and formal handovers to Segregation of Duties IT and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) teams to ensure long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or IGA.
  • 3+ years of dedicated focus on enterprise-scale RBAC implementations.
  • Proven track record of leading at least one full-lifecycle RBAC rollout in a regulated environment (e.g., Energy, Mining, Finance).
  • Hands-on expertise with Okta Identity Governance, ServiceNow, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with SAP GRC or managing complex Segregation of Duties frameworks within ERP environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business is required.
  • Professional Certifications: CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional/Administrator) are highly preferred.
  • Superior facilitation and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical security requirements into business-friendly language.
Additional Information
