A local government authority in Canada is seeking a temporary full-time Human Resources Associate for approximately 15 months. The role involves supporting HR initiatives, leading recruitment processes, and assisting with employee engagement programs. Temporary Full-Time for approximately 15 months

The West Vancouver Human Resources Department is currently seeking a temporary, full‑time Human Resources Associate. If you are an experienced, energetic, detail‑oriented, and resourceful problem solver with a can‑do attitude, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preferred candidate will possess: a general knowledge of HR policies, procedures, relevant acts, regulations, guidelines, and collective agreements; a meticulous attention to detail; a passion for labour relations and keen demonstrated interest in progressing in a multi‑union government environment; the ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively; knowledge of the principles, standards and practices of the relevant areas of Human Resources.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field, plus relevant experience in a unionized environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. A current BC Driver’s License and full‑time access to a vehicle is required.
The successful candidate will be required to supply an acceptable Police Information Check and a copy of their credentials.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)
Rate of Pay: $86,200.00 – $97,000.00 per annum
